The Eight Largest U.S. Burger Chains

I was watching the CNBC documentary on “Wendy’s” ($WEN) when I heard back in the 1980s, Wendy’s was the third largest burger chain in America. That got me wondering if they still retained that status. Turns out they did. As I was searching, I found this cool map, that shows the Eight Largest U.S. Burger Chains by color. As most people would guess, McDonald’s obviously stands at #1. But at first glance, it was hard determining which color represented them, until I saw the key. Let’s just say, they have that #1 spot on lockdown.
